Screw Drive Types

Common to Orbital Fasteners
Pozi Drive Type

Pozi is an improved version of the Phillips screw drive. It’s less likely to cam out, which allows greater torque to be applied.

Slot Drive Type

The slot screw drive has a single slot in the fastener head and is driven by flat head screwdriver.

Phillips Drive Type

Most common of all screw drive types. Driven by a Phillips or cross head screwdriver. Prone to cam-out under increased torque.

Torx Drive Type

Torx is designed to allow increased torque transfer from the driver to the bit compared to other drive systems.

Countersunk Screw

Most common usage is on screw products where a flush fit is required on the surface.

Raised Countersunk Screw
Raised Countersunk

Most often associated with screw products in exposed applications.

Pan Screw

Predominantly used on screw products where a flat bearing surface is required where a countersunk is not required.

Cheese Screw

Less popular than pan, but again gives a deeper slot capability, is most commonly seen on machine screws.
