Rika SAFR006 FIRE-X Intumescent Sealant White C3 310ml

Rikä FIRE-X is a 4-hour fire-rated intumescent and acoustic acrylic sealant. Halogen-free and polymer emulsion-based, it swells at 125°C, forming a char coat to restrict smoke and fire.

Applications:

• Ideal for door casings, service penetrations, partitioning, fire protection boards, cladding, and low-movement joints requiring fire resistance. It seals joints up to 35mm wide (recommended 8mm depth) and dries to a flexible, paintable surface.

Performance & Certification:

• Fire Rating: Independently tested to BS EN 1366-3: 2004 & BS EN 1366-4: 2006 (Bodycote Warrington Fire, Report No. 173658A).
• 4-hour integrity for linear/penetration seals in non-combustible materials.
• 1-hour integrity for vertical joints (up to 25mm) in combustible materials (timber).
• Indicative BS476 Part 20 & 22 test at Warrington Fire Research confirms 4-hour fire rating.
• Acoustic Performance: BS EN ISO 10140-2: 2010 – achieved a 55dB sound reduction index in plasterboard partition walls (University of Salford, Reports 2612 – 76, 77, 79 - 81).
